Carol Bodlander
Carol Bodlander was a teacher in the L.A. public school system for 25 years. She designed and taught art programs from grades 1 through 12, and developed enrichment programs in the visual arts for the gifted. For excellence in her teaching work, Ms. Bodlander was recognized with the Ernestine F. Kinney award from Occidental College, and nominated for the Bravo award for her work teaching the arts from the Music Center Education Division.
Carol has been an exhibiting artist and has participated in numerous juried shows in the Southern California area. She has also donated artwork to auctions to raise money for the Concern Foundation, Children’s Hospital-Chase Place, and Inner City Arts. From 2005 to 2012, she opened her studio-gallery, Off-Rose to the public for exhibitions of excellent emerging artists and ceramicists.
Carol was curator of an exhibition at Gallery 619 in San Pedro, California and participated as a guest teacher in the IFF workshop. The IFF workshop was part of the 2004 Independent Family Film Festival.
