Art Classes
Classes Available for Children, Students and Adults
Off Rose offers art classes for all ages and all levels of development. We focus on helping students develop their own personal style and creativity. Classes are tailored to the individual interests of each student. There is ongoing enrollment, space permitting, and a flexible schedule including weekend classes.
Introduction to Art
This class is offered to very young students (ages 4-9). The focus is on sensory awareness and creativity. This includes all activities and enjoyment of various media.
Intermediate Drawing & Painting
This class builds on skills developed in the introductory series and moves toward principles of design. We provide acrylics, watercolors, papier-mâché, and other materials. In cases where the student wishes to paint with oils or on canvas, it is expected that they bring their own supplies. AP art students will develop skills and deepen their understanding in principles of design and creativity, recognize their artistic ancestors and develop portfolios.
Beginning Sculpture
The introduction of form through various media allows students to work three-dimensionally and develop balance in their work. The media used include papier-mâché, found objects, wood, clay and fabric.
*Materials: Student grade art materials are provided in the price of the classes. Acrylic, oil paints, stretched canvas, wood panels, etc. to be provided by student.
Tuition for semi-private, small group classes: $300.00 (for a minimum series of 5 sessions). Studio class sessions are generally 1 hour and fifteen minutes.
Tuition for a series is payable in advance. Make-up classes are not offered and all fees must be paid before the start of class.
